Copyright Policy

All original literary works, including but not limited to textbooks, revision questions, answers, and accompanying notes (collectively, “Materials”), published by Chemcord are protected by copyright law under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK). This policy explains your rights and our expectations when using our Materials.

2. Ownership
All copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Materials are owned by Chemcord or have been licensed to Chemcord. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our Materials except as set out below or with our express, written permission.

3. Permitted Uses
You may, for private study or non-commercial educational purposes:

  • Print or download single copies of extracts from our Materials.

  • Quote brief passages, provided you credit “Chemcord” and include the title of the work.

Any wider use (for example, sharing digital copies with a whole class, publishing extracts online, or using in a commercial context) requires our prior written consent.

4. Prohibited Uses
Without express permission from Chemcord, you must not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publish our Materials in whole or in part for any commercial purpose.

  • Upload or post our Materials to the internet (including file-sharing sites or social media).

  • Create derivative works, translations, or adaptations of our Materials.

  • Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

6. Third-Party Content
Some of our materials include third-party approved content, such as questions adapted from past Scottish examinations and used with appropriate permissions. Such content remains the property of its original owner, and you must comply with any additional terms imposed by that owner.

7. Copyright Infringement
We respect others’ rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please notify us immediately at:

  • Identification of the infringing material and its location

  • A statement of good faith belief of infringement

We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when changes were made. Continued use of our Materials after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
